November Update
REMC celebrates 2,000th connection
On November 1, we reached our 2,000th broadband connection. Just a couple of months after securing our 1,000th connection, twice that amount are now able to access high-speed internet in their homes and businesses via their Lagrange County REMC Broadband service.
Chad and Tiffany Bender of rural Shipshewana became the 2,000th customers to receive the service. “We didn’t sign a contract (with current provider) because we wanted to get REMC’s broadband as soon as it was available. We didn’t know if that would be a year from now or two years from now, but we’re so glad we held out.” Tiffany said.
The Benders and their two kids are looking forward to having a fiber-optic connection because “it’s sure to be more reliable than what we’ve had before.” The Benders will utilize the new fiber connection for gaming (their son) and potentially dropping their satellite provider to explore streaming services.
Thank you, Chad and Tiffany, for your confidence in LaGrange County REMC’s broadband and thanks to all the others that have entrusted us as your internet provider. We’re excited to keep this number climbing in the months to come!
