REMC connects 3,000th fiber customer
LaGrange County REMC celebrates the installation of its
3,000th fiber connection, Ehren and Wendy Misner, residents of Wolcottville.
For the Misner family, internet connectivity is more than
just an amenity; it's a vital lifeline that supports both work and leisure
activities. Wendy, who works for Westview School Corporation, relies on a
stable internet connection to fulfill her professional duties. Ehren, a general
manager at Riverside RV in LaGrange said, “We’re so grateful REMC is doing
broadband. It allows us to live a rural life without sacrificing big city
conveniences.”
Beyond work, the Misners also utilize the internet for
entertainment and educational purposes. With two of their four sons still at
home, the family enjoys streaming movies, gaming, and accessing educational
resources online. “And when the older two come over, or their girlfriends are
here, things get a little bogged down,” Misner noted. “Now we’ve got a Gig!”
The significance of LaGrange County REMC's 3,000th internet
connection extends far beyond the Misner household. It symbolizes the
cooperative's unwavering commitment to serving its members and empowering our rural
communities with the tools they need to thrive in the digital age.
As LaGrange County REMC continues its mission to connect more households and businesses to high-speed internet, the cooperative remains dedicated to ensuring that rural communities can also enjoy those big city conveniences.
